Blogathon #66-Kiva Stories #10

Rosario Chavarria Olivas-Construction

Rosario lives in the city next to the Nueva Guinea municipal market. She is seeking her 10th loan to invest in improving her home by building a pantry, thereby providing greater comfort to her family. She has worked as a director for a women’s home for 16 years, and is an enterprising woman who has helped many rural and urban women that come from different regions to give birth to their baby in the women’s home. She has made many efforts on behalf of these women, providing lodging and food and also family planning and baby care seminars. In addition to being a leader and role model for all the women in Nueva Guinea, she also works as a town councilor in Nueva Guinea and is an evangelical Christian. Her dream is having a home with better living conditions, steady work to support her family, and always able to continue supporting those who need it.
