She sells items like cooking oil, pepper, spices, etc. on top of a table in the market. She takes stock of goods from the Kumasi central market (which is a nearby city) and her surrounding communities for the vegetables. She is requesting a loan to upgrade her inventory. She is the leader of a trust bank group called ‘Genodi’ which literary means believe in Him (God). She is the one in front in the group photograph. Most of the members of this group are petty traders, food vendors and/or farmers. In this group, members guarantee for one another as social collateral to access the loan and there is peer pressure to repay the loan.
